October 26, 2021 - 18 colleagues from the S&T Diplomatic Circle Shanghai joined the visit to the Shanghai office of "Ant Group", which acts as the headquarters of Alipay -- Chinas's leading digital payment platform. Launched in 2004, Alipay serves hundreds of millions of users and connects them with merchants and partner financial institutions that offer inclusive financial services and digital daily life services, such as food delivery, transport, and healthcare.
In this context, the visit offered an opportunity to learn about their journey, as well as to gain an insight into "Alipay+" -- a global cross-border mobile payments and marketing solution, which enables merchants, especially small and medium-sized business, to better serve consumers from all over the world by collaborating with global partners. Additional topics included Ant Group's database service "OceanBase", as well as Antchain's blockchain-based digital trade and trade finance platform "Trusple".
