ZTE Shanghai R&D Center

February 25, 2021 - The S&T Diplomatic Circle visited the ZTE Shanghai R&D Center. Founded in 1985, ZTE Corporation is a global leader in telecommunications and information technology. The company provides integrated end-to-end innovations to consumers, carriers, and enterprise network customers from over 160 countries. Some takeaways: 15% of ZTE revenues invested in R&D; 30,000 R&D engineers; total of 80,000 global patents; 2500 essential 5G patents; some of current 5G features might be used in future 6G. – Interesting fact: All 37,900 km highspeed railway network in China have 5G coverage.
