Visit to Melexis

April 29, 2024 - The S&TDC Shanghai visited the Belgian company Melexis in the heart of Shanghai’s city center. Melexis is a global supplier of micro-electronic semiconductor solutions and stands for engineering that enables the best imaginable future: safe, clean, comfortable and healthy.

The visit offered valuable insights into how a European semiconductor company operates and innovates within China’s highly dynamic tech ecosystem. Discussions touched on global supply chains, the rapid development of the semiconductor sector, and the opportunities and challenges international companies face in China’s fast-moving market.

It was also an opportunity to exchange views on the role of advanced microelectronics in enabling future technologies—from smarter mobility to more efficient and sustainable systems.
